This is a fun recipe
to make with the Kids. They are so easy and quick to make. The only problem I
have with them is that they are so pretty that I don’t want to eat them. J They would make a fantastic centerpiece for Easter.
Ingredients:
36 Peeps bunnies (3 different colors)
3 tablespoons butter
6 cups Rice krispies
a plastic Easter egg
Place 1 tablespoon of butter and 12 peeps (same color) in a
glass bowl. Place in the microwave for about 1 minute or until all of the peeps are melted.
Stir until smooth. Fold in 2 cups of Rice Krispies.
Repeat process for the other two colors of peeps.
With all three colors ready, you will now start to put them together.
Wash and dry a plastic Easter egg. Spray with a little bit of cooking spray. (I only had to do this the first time.) Place a little bit of the Rice Krispies mixture from each bowl into the plastic egg.
Stuff the mixture into the egg, adding as much as needed to fill it up tightly.
Open up one end of the egg.
The take the Rice Krispie egg out.
Place the eggs on wax paper to set.
Great idea! Super cute!! I'm posting a Peeps project today!
