Tissue Paper Hearts

An easy and inexpensive craft for Valentine's Day. Made with poster board and tissue paper. Hang them around the house or use as decorations for your party. Also, a fun craft to do with the kids.

Make all one color or mix it up for added fun!

Materials needed:

  • Tissue paper (several colors) cut into approx. 1 inch squares
  • Hearts cut out of a stiff paper (poster board or card stock)
  • String or ribbon for hanging
  • glue

Take the squares and push your finger into the center, pulling the sides up around your finger. Pull finger out and give the point a little pinch to make it stay. Then start gluing them to the heart shape. Make sure to place them close enough that you can not see the paper between them.

After one side is complete, turn it over and glue the string to the heart. Continue to glue the squares the same as on the front side.
