I had a hard time finding these dinosaur eggs at the party since they looked so much like real rocks.
The kids has a great time looking for the "eggs" and then cracking them open to see what was inside.
If you would like to make some eggs for your party, here is how you do it:
INGREDIENTS
2 cups of flour
2 cups used coffee grounds
1 cups of salt
1/2 cup sand
1 1/2 cups of water
small toys to go inside of the "egg" (I used small dinosaurs)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
Mix dry ingredients and then slowly add in the water , stirring until the mixture becomes a dough. (Using a mixer makes it easier)
If the dough is too wet, add a little more flour until you get a good consistency.
Roll a piece of the dough into a ball, pushing the toy to the middle, and then form the dough around the toy until it resembles an egg.
Place in the oven and bake for 45 minutes. Be sure to let them cool before letting kids break them open.
Here are the dinosaurs used in the eggs. You can order them from Amazon
